The Best Places to Visit in NYC
With the summer sun heating up, New York City, becomes one of the world’s biggest tourist destinations. Here are some of the best places Miss Universe Iris Mittenaere has visited that you can too!
The High Line is a 1.45-mile-long linear park created on an elevated section of a disused New York Central Railroad spur called the West Side Line. While walking along the elevated path, you can stop for ice cream, listen to live music, or just chill out in the gardens. From the path, you can also see the Statue of Liberty!
While this might seem cliché, Times Square is still worth checking out. Whether you’re out shopping, seeing a Broadway Show, or just hanging out. Times Square is one of those places you have to visit.
The Statue of Liberty
This iconic woman was gifted to the US from France and was constructed in 1875. Making this one of Iris’ favorite spots in the whole city. Plus, she gets to wear a crown too, unofficially making the Statue of Liberty the world’s first Miss Universe.
Grand Central Station
While this might not scream summer destination, Grand Central Station is the perfect place in New York City to cool off and take a break. This beautiful transportation stop is over 100 years old and features a beautiful domed ceiling featuring constellations and the iconic four-faced bronze clock.
Whether you’re in the city for a day or a whole week, New York has so much to offer. Iris says the best thing about living in New York is that you can wake up one day and go somewhere completely new. Take it from her and start your own adventure!
